( Private to Genevieve )
I asked Mum to make some chocolate chip scones. She makes the best. Especially with cold milk. |

Did I miss the memo where we should shout at everyone and call them stupid for a bit? Please tell me if I did! I like a good shouting match every now and then. So long as there's a bit of intelligence involved, and there is good reason to slap people with a proverbial stupid stick.
I, also, went to lunch with Anthony and his girlfriend. Yes, I did apologize for what I did to her and explained, in all honesty, that I really didn't like her too much. Her face got a bit red, though I think it was more so at Anthony laughing. I told her that Anthony is my brother and I am extremely selective about who he dates. Lunch was a bit quiet for a few, but then she seemed to laugh everything off. We started talking about, actually, she's a rather nice girl! She's also the youngest in her family, with two older brothers and an older sister, and knows what it's like when your siblings begin dating.
Gen, I know I was ready to make her life extremely miserable the more she came around, but she's all right in my book. The screening process is complete. I gave her the Boot family blessing to continue dating Anthony, and I promised that I wouldn't do anything to her unless it's a good-natured joke between us. I will also refer to her by her name, Danielle, rather then just "Her".
CM! My wonderful better half, I have a surprise for you when we head back to school. Sort of a "Welcome Back" thing. I'm telling you about it because I'm excited about giving it to you, and like to keep you excitedly waiting!
I have been getting up every morning and running to make sure my stamina and endurance is where it needs to be, still, for Quidditch try-outs. I am ready! I can already feel that Seeker position in my grasp! |

Anthony's girlfriend is still sticking around it seems. Er ... Mum sort of caught me in the act of washing her, the girlfriend's, clothes in a bit of malt vinegar. I'm not joining the grounding club, but I had to apologize to her. And Anthony, though the look he gave me told me he thought everything was hilarious.
It's not fair! Anthony's far too good for this girl. Why can't he see it? Why can't everyone see this? Mum says I should go have lunch with Anthony and the girlfriend tomorrow, but I really don't want to. Maybe I can use the excuse that I feel sick at the sight of horrible monsters. Probably not, but maybe it's an option.
Gen, can you go with me? CM, what about you? I don't want to do this lunch thing on my own. I might end up slinging food at her by accident. |

So while everyone is up in arms over the lack of pumpkin juice on the tables around the wizarding community and restaurants, I am enjoying a nice up of warm tea with honey after I enjoyed my cold glass of milk. Should I mention Mum's scones?
I'm having one of those lazy days where I honestly could care less about everything. I did start packing for the new term already, though. I'm pretty happy that I did grow a bit, rounding out at 4'10". No new robes, yet, but I'm glad that I'm getting up there in height. I'm still hoping that I reach, at least, 5'1" or 5'2" before I stop growing. When should we physically stop growing again? When we turn eighteen? Something of sort.
Claire! I miss you. When can you come over for dinner?
Gen, I don't think our target enjoyed the glue in her bra. I saw Anthony chuckle over it, too. I think we're winning the battle. |

| [ | mood |
| | nauseated | ] | As a general note regardless of what my sister may ever say, I am not a cheerleader. Never have been and never will be not matter how many times she tries to get me to help with her routines and flips and whatever else cheerleaders do. Also wouldn't be a fan of my arse hanging out for the whole ruddy world to see either.
And Plan G.R.O.S.S. (Get Rid of Sickening Slag) is underway. Hopefully it will be completed before the new term begins. Gen! A team meeting is in order. Hurry it up and come home from your job. I found a bottle of that tacky glue stuff to put in Slag's bra while she's showering tonight. |

Prefect business is boring. Much happier with Quidditch myself. And, really, anyone could be a Prefect if you think on it a bit. Take down a few names of those misbehaving and drop them on the desk of a professor, or your head of house. It's almost the same except without the shiny badge attached to your hip for the remainder of your year...or life. I suppose it really depends on how much to heart you take your position and duty.
I was hoping for a chance to travel over to the oceanside before the end of summer, but seems Mum and Dad are tied up with work with little time left before the new term begins. Oh well. I considered trying to make a beach myself in the backyard, but then I realized I couldn't and thought about asking Anthony to do it. I almost that brother of mine talked in to it, but then he backed out on me.
You know what else? Gen, I really don't like that girl he brought over the other day. The one he met after work at some pub? You know, the red-head? Bit of a dimbo if you ask me. Has an annoying voice, too. Too high-pitched and squeaky. Nails on a ruddy chalkboard it sounded like. |

HEY!
Hey.
Look, it's me. I sound like Lily
Is it time to go back to school yet? Please? Except for the times I saw my Claire - who apparently is dating!? - my summer has been absolutely the most boring summer in the history of Clare Boot summers. I'm very serious. Even with my part-time job, which was far less then part-time because of...laws or something. I don't know.
Either way -- can it be tomorrow that we go back? I'm ready to be a fifth year! I'm ready to be a Seeker again and I think I'm driving Mum crazy because I keep asking her when we're going back. Dad just laughs. And Anthony keeps Mum calm. Gen -- I don't know. She's too busy with her own job, which from what it seems, is way better then my job. How is that even possible? I was suppose to have the ace job this summer.
Do you think I'd get into trouble if I spent the rest of the remaining summer holiday asleep on platform 9 3/4? |

I've climbed so many of these trees that my hands are sore!
You know what else? I'm still looking for the tallest tree in this woodland wonderland! Come on. Every forest has one, so there better be one. I'm going to find it, climb it and then stake it out as Clare Boot's watchtower. At least until it's gone. I think it should just stay like this until I'm done with schooling. You'd only have two more years of constant forest and trees! It's not really that bad!
Besides, at least it smells nice! All the pine and evergreen and fur trees -- that nice, earthy woods smell! Like the way that one Gryffindor bloke smells
There should be a brilliant game of hide-and-go-seek or capture the flag! How many more days do we have? Maybe the second to last day we could do it! Team Clare against the world! Hmm...maybe that wouldn't be too fair. I'd have to give Team World a headstart -- HAHA! Just kidding!
Claire, do you have an extra hairband with you? I left mine in the dorm and I don't feel like going back to get it. Pleeeeeeease?? |

I am of the UNBIASED opinion that there needs to be a Seeker Appreciation Week Day.
I don't think people realize the amount of hard work Seekers go through! Well most Seekers anyway! Unless you're Lily Potter
But --
BUT --
Seeker Appreciation Day! Yes/No?
Don't give me that look, Gen! It's a GOOD idea! |

Hogwarts, Hogwarts Hoggy Warty Hogwarts Teach us something please!
MAKE IT STOP. Cheese and crackers, make it stop! It seriously has been in my head for hours and it just keeps going on and on and on and on -- like the song that never ends!
This is the song that never ends! It goes on and on my friends! Some people started singing it not knowing what it was! And they'll continue singing it forever just because...hoggy warty Hogwarts---BLAST IT ALL!
Well, the snake got away. Eating snake is not on! I've heard it's pretty gross. Kind of tough and chewy. Like deep-fried bugs. Chocolate-covered ants on a stick and stuff. You know, I've never tried that. I wonder if every weird food taste like chicken---CLAIRE! We should try this. I'll eat a roach if you eat the ants! |
